History

We started out in a 685 square-foot office on J street in 2010. We were so cozy there that we took blood draws in the hallway. Three years later, we moved to our 1000 square-foot larger K Street location across from Sutter’s Fort.

We settled into our current location on L street in September 2019. We now have twice the space of our K Street office and are located on the second story of Pioneer Church on the other side of Sutter’s Fort.

"I named the clinic after my first grade teacher, Sister Clara Watts. A Franciscan sister, Clara advocated for those living in poverty. She would go to the hospital finance office to get bills reduced or eliminated. Sister Clara cared for the voiceless and vulnerable living among us."  – Kathy Wood, OSF
