VISION & VALUES
The clinic provides primary health care and education for those economically disadvantaged among us. Nurse Practitioners operate the clinic in collaboration with volunteer MDs, NPs, RNs, and other health care professionals. They further extend care to those who do not have access to health care and are not aware of appropriate resources. The clinic staff works in coordination with existing services in the community and seeks to promote health maintenance through education, assessment and preventative health care. The staff coordinates ongoing care with professionals, agencies, schools, families, and the larger community.
Clara’s House addresses the health needs of the poor as a manifestation of the spiritual beliefs of the participants cherishing diversity of cultures and religious beliefs.
The dignity of all persons will be honored, as well as recognizing the ability of all to progress and assist themselves, whenever possible.
In the spirit of Magdalen Damen, the founders of the Sisters of St Francis whose motto was “God will provide”, funds, equipment and materials will be sought through donations, which allows the freedom to share with those in need of assistance.
Whenever possible, services will be developed to address the needs of the whole person: physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, social, and economic.
Whenever possible no person will be turned away who is lacking in health care
