Hilton Fund for Sisters Grant

Through a $10,000.00 grant from the Hilton Fund for Sisters, the cllnic will continue to cover lab costs for history and physical exam testing for patients We provide basic lab testing as well as physical exams to patients at no cost to the patient..

Vaccinations For Children and Adults

Clara's House now has free immunizations for children. If you are a current Clara's House patient, call to make an appointment for your children. Bring their immunizations cards to the appointment. Through a $3,000.00 grant from the Grace Day Fund of the Sisters of St. Francis, we are providing immunizations for adults also. Kids returning to school will need TDAP immunizations beginning this Fall. We are able to provide those immunization shots.

Susan G. Komen Grant

We received a $100,000.00 grant from the Sacramento Susan G. Komen Foundation to provide mammagrams and breast health education for patients. Sr. Mary Ellen, our Outreach Director, and Lisa Cross, a volunteer Family Nurse Pranctitioner at the clinic, will be giving breast health education presentations beginning in July 2011.

CHW Grant

Catholic Healcare West awarded Clara's House a $15,000.00 2010 Community Grant to help pay for lab tests and supplies for patients in January 2011. Sister Kathy Wood, Executive Director of the clinic, gratefully accepted the grant at an awards banquet on behalf of the voiceless and vulnerable.

Grace Day Home Grant

The Grace Day Home fund of the Sisters of Saint Francis awarded Clara's House a $3000.00 grant to help fund diabetic supplies for patients.

MedShare Donation

MedShare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the environment and healthcare through the efficient recovery and redistribution of surplus medical supplies, donated 400 pounds of supplies to Clara's House. The supplies filled a pallet, and were gratefully stored away.

HemoCue Donation

HemoCue, which HemoCue develops, produces and markets medical diagnostic products for point-of-care testing, donated a hemoglobin analyzer to Clara's House. The analyzer is used to test anemia. Thank you HemoCue!

Volunteer Orientation Classes

Clara's House volunteers attend a two-hour orientation class before starting their volunteer service. The orientation covers such topics as patient privacy, safety and health best practices, legal issues, and clinic client registration procedures. Additional classes are being scheduled.
